Just a Question
Originally written: Sunday, April 02, 2006
Today is Palm Sunday - the beginning of the Holy Week. For Christians, particularly for Catholics like me, it's time to reflect and remember Christ's sacrifices for us.
And on this week, we are also required to make little sacrifices to atone for our sins and one of those sacrifices is abstinence from meat - beef, pork and chicken.
However, my question is: what about if a person is not fond of red meat in the first place?
Eating fish would hardly constitute sacrifice at all, in my opinion. So it's almost as if he did not do any sacrfices at all.
Don't you agree?
